UNESCO HONG KONG LEADERSHIP OFFERS APPRECIATION TO GCS HONG KONG

GCS International Hong Kong Chapter has successfully concluded its second real live Taekwondo for All event.

The Tae Sports Taekwondo Open Challenge One, which was held on 22nd September 2021, drew about 100 participants including the general public without any Taekwondo experience from Hong Kong. The event was promoted by Tae Sports Academy and Co-organized by GCS International Hong Kong Chapter.
Before the event, a special blessing and appreciation was given by Dr Shirley Yeung, the Associate Vice President of UNESCO Association Hong Kong.

In Dr Shirley Yeung’s video of blessing, she said,
‘I like to express my support and blessing to GCS Hong Kong for their event on 22 Sep. It is a Taekwondo for all event which encourages the public to exercise and promote sports for all.
GCS Hong Kong has been working diligently and continuously on promoting sports for all, social inclusion, good health and social wellbeing, which is one of the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Last but not least, I know that Taekwondo is applying to be recognized by the UNESCO in 2024. I wish Taekwondo all the best and great success for its application!’

GCS International Hong Kong Chapter observes and supports the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Though Taekwondo, GCS Hong Kong works diligently on promoting sports for all, social inclusion, peace, and harmony in the Hong Kong society.
