We are pleased to share news from the GCS Peace Cup 2026 & 2026 West Bengal State Taekwondo Championship, successfully held by the GCS West Bengal Chapter, India, from July 8 to 10, 2026.

The GCS West Bengal India Chapter, in collaboration with Roy’s Taekwondo Academy and the Taekwondo Association of West Bengal, successfully organized the GCS Peace Cup 2026 & 2026 West Bengal State Taekwondo Championship at Dhono Dhanya Auditorium from 8th to 10th July 2026. These prestigious events brought together athletes, coaches, officials, and sports enthusiasts from across West Bengal and beyond.

We were deeply honored that His Holiness Revered Srimat Swami Prajnatmananda Maharaj of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, graciously inaugurated the event.

A special highlight of the ceremony was the Passing of the Spirit of Taekwondo Flame. Grand Master Pradipta Kumar Roy ceremonially passed the Flame to Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose, who then passed it on to the other distinguished dignitaries present.

The Flame symbolizes courage, peace, unity, and the celebration of diversity, bringing people and communities together across the globe. It represents the light within each of us—the belief that the light in me sees the light in you, inspiring us to connect with one another through mutual respect, harmony, and goodwill.

Following the Flame Ceremony, the Oath-Taking Ceremony was conducted with great enthusiasm and commitment from all participants.

I am delighted to inform you that the event concluded successfully on 10 July 2026.

I am pleased to inform you that North 24 Parganas District emerged as the Champion, winning the Winner’s Trophy, while Malda District secured the Runner-up Trophy for their outstanding performance in the championship.
