GCS International Signs MOU with Gyeonggi-do Taekwondo Association on Promotion of World Peace
GCS International signed a cooperation agreement with the Gyeonggi-do Taekwondo Association on the promotion of world peace through taekwondo at the World Taekwondo headquarters in Seoul on November 1, 2019.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate for the promotion of world peace through taekwondo and related educational, cultural and sports events around the world, especially in developing countries.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Chungwon Choue, president of GCS International and World Taekwondo; and Grand Master Kim Kyung-Duk, president of the Gyeonggi-do Taekwondo Association.
The two organizations also agreed to fully cooperate to foster global leaders through taekwondo education. They agreed to donate proceeds from their fund-raising events for the disadvantaged youth in developing countries.
Thousands of taekwondo students under the Gyeonggi-do Taekwondo Association participated in the 2019 DMZ Peace Festival, which was jointly organized by GCS International and the Kukmin Daily at the Imjingak Peace Nuri Park in Paju, Gyeonggi Province in Korea on June 29, 2019.
Gyeonggi-do Taekwondo Association President Kim and other ranking officials also attended the inauguration ceremony of the GCS International West Bengal, India Chapter in Kolkata, India on December 9, 2018 on the occasion of the 2018 Indo Korean Taekwondo Cultural Festival.
