The GCS International Guangdong Chapter successfully hosted the 2021 GCS Guangdong Taekwondo Instructor International Technical Seminar on May 24-26, 2021.

The event was supported by GCS International, headed by Dr. Chungwon Choue, who also serves as president of World Taekwondo, and the Guangdong Taekwondo Association, together with the Zhaoqing Taekwondo Association, Shenzhen Bright Way Sports & Culture Co. Ltd. and the Zhaoqing Gaoyao Taekwondo Association.

The seminar, which was held at the Zhaoqing Gaoyao District Sports Center, drew about 100 people.

On the first day of the three-day event, there was an opening ceremony, in which GCS and World Taekwondo leaders were invited to offer their online welcome and encouragement words.
Among the speakers were Mr. Inseon Kim, a World Taekwondo Council member; Dr. Seok-jae Kang, secretary general of GCS International; Mr. Mustapha Moutarazak, WT Poomsae Referee chairman; and Mr. Andy Kwan, president of the GCS International Hong Kong Chapter.

On behalf of GCS International and World Taekwondo President Dr. Chungwon Choue, Dr. Seok-jae Kang, congratulated GCS International Guangdong, China Chapter and the Zhaoqing Taekwondo Association on organizing the 2021 GCS Guangdong Taekwondo Instructor International Technical Seminar.

“My special thanks go to GCS Guangdong President Zhong Min Guo. The live poomsae instructor seminar is for a good cause, as part of the proceeds from the event will go to Bhutan to support the country’s less fortunate children,” Kang said.
Dr. Kang continued to say, “This year marks the 40th anniversary of the U.N. International Day of Peace, which was proposed by GCS founder Dr. Young Seek Choue, the late father of Dr. Chungwon Choue.” “I am confident that this GCS Guangdong event will be a great success and further promote the GCS Movement in China.”

During the opening ceremony, GCS Guangdong President Zhong Min Guo introduced to the participants Dr. Young Seek Choue, founder of GCS Movement, GCS International President Dr. Chungwon Choue, GCS history and GCS Movement.

The seminar was conducted by Mr. Yu Ziang Zhu and Ms. Meng Yue Wei, both instructors are poomsae world champions and members of the Chinese national poomsae team.
The participants received education on recognized, freestyle poomsae and detailed training method.
