GCS International Holds 1st Virtual Seminar in 2021 on Community Service
GCS International held its first virtual seminar on community service on March 14, 2021 in Korean time, drawing more than 100 participants from about 20 countries.
The community service virtual seminar, hosted by the GCS International Portland, USA Chapter, provided education strategies for community leaders of all ages to organize fundraising events worldwide.
Mr. Jacob Van of GCS Portland, led by Dr. Selma Li, made a 30-minute presentation on community service.
On behalf of GCS International President Dr. Chungwon Choue, Dr. Seok-jae Kang, secretary general of GCS International, thanked the seminar participants for attending the virtual event.
Through the participation of seminars and donation, participants are able to qualify to win the GCS Presidential Award, which is a prestigious humanitarian award granted to individuals who demonstrate awareness toward current global crisis through GCS online education movement and for their voluntary services in building a global common society.
The first GCS Virtual Seminar was held on September 26, 2020 on COVID-19 prevention education by Dr. David Jeong, World Taekwondo Medical Committee chairman, drawing people from 23 countries.
